Dynamo Dresden vs. 1. FC Kaiserslautern: The votes of the game
Dirk Schuster, coach of 1. FC Kaiserslautern
“We have all put everything into this match together. But we also knew that Dynamo tried everything to stay in the second division here. I saw each other pretty well in the first half. We only got the Dresden when they made mistakes invited. We had a little problem in the right side of the defense. But it got better in the second half because we gathered ourselves and made some adjustments. Then we made it 1-0, then it was back and forth. We also allowed Dynamo one or two chances. They could also make it 1-1 there. You have to honestly admit it. 2-0 was the end of it. I just want to thank the boys for the amazing performance and the amazing season they played. Marco Antwerpen also provided his “contribution, led the team to relegation. Today we completed what he helped to prepare. 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the 2. league is a great feeling.”
… to the fans in Kaiserslautern: “It was amazing how you supported us. It was amazing what atmosphere you created.”
Terrence Boyd, 1st FC Kaiserslautern striker
“Respect for Dynamo Dresden. These are two traditional clubs with fan power. You did not see that. There is one or the other division club that can not show it. Therefore, it is a pity that they have to go down now. It is reasonable.” We were not disturbed in the hotel, it was not violent. Respect to Dresden fans. Respect for the Dresden team. Now to us. I’m new here. I can not yet figure out what that means for the city and the region. “I’m relieved and just proud. Kaiserslautern is a sleeping giant who is slowly waking up now. We started well, everyone did a great job. We gave it up a bit at the end of the first half. But second “Half was just the lifeblood. I do not believe in any of this. It’s just amazing.”
To the more than 7,500 fans in Kaiserslautern: “It’s just not normal. It’s mentally ill. I think tomorrow is a holiday. We’re just really proud.”
Jean Zimmer, defender of 1. FC Kaiserslautern
“Today you could see that we are one unit. No matter how we played. At the beginning of the season, when it slept, we were already one unit. We continued to grow together during the season. What the boys in the basket has delivered the last few weeks, the hat off. It does not matter if it is at home in front of 50,000 or out. Incredible. It is not just a traditional club, it is my club. I grew up with the club. “
Rene Klingenburg, midfielder in 1. FC Kaiserslautern
“You now realize the whole season, all the pressure and stress that you and your family have put on us. We had a vision with the old coaches Marco Antwerpen and Frank Döpper. This dream then became the goal. Me At this point we have is “We have to dedicate this promotion to our old coaches. They kept pushing us. Now we have to enjoy the party and are happy that FCK is back where it belongs – if not even higher.”
Guerino Capretti, coach of Dynamo Dresden
“The disappointment is huge. We have big plans. It was another tough fight. You just have to have a little luck. We had another huge chance after leading 0-1. If it goes in, you get what you have again. the energy you need for this game.We do not do those things. It runs like a common thread through the last few matches. The boys sat in good finishing positions. The case just has to be pushed over the line.Unfortunately, it did not succeed again. “It’s also really hard to go into analysis now after so many negative emotions. I’m extremely sorry.”
