Teutonia 05, VfB Lübeck, TSG Neustrelitz and TuS BW Lohne won on Saturday on the amateurs’ last day in the state cup finals and can now hope for the big draw in the DFB Cup.

The footballers from FC Teutonia 05 were the first team from the north to qualify for the first main round of the DFB Cup in the Hamburg final. At Hoheluft Stadium, where the Ottomans also play their regional league home games, they beat arch-rivals Altona 93 2-1 (2-0) (game statistics) and celebrated their first title in the club’s history.

In front of 3,014 fans, Teutonia quickly took the lead. AFC goalkeeper Frederick Lorenzen knocked over the clumsy Besfort Kolgeci, Fabian Istefo converted the undisputed penalty kick to make it 1-0 (2nd). A little later, Can Düzel increased the lead to 2-0 with a header (15th). Down the middle came Altona, making a fantastic play that nearly had Oberligaen take the lead after 62 minutes, but Noah Gumpert preserved the tie. But that was not enough for more, Teutonia finally brought the lead superb over time.

VfB Lübeck wins a thriller against TSB Flensburg

In the final of the Schleswig-Holstein State Cup, the favorite from the Regionalliga Nord won in front of 1,727 spectators in Flensburg, but had more problems than expected with the Oberliga team. Robin Kölle (15th) and Samuel Abifade (37th) seemed to have made everything clear with their goals before the break. But TSB fought back through Nicholas Holtze (80th) and Timo Carstensen (87th) – it went into overtime, where Carstensen missed the huge chance to make it 3-2 for Flensburg in the last second. (game statistics)

Flensburg’s Tayfun Can and Gian Luca Bracht failed on penalty kicks – VfB goalkeeper Eric Grünemann became the celebrated hero for the Lübeck team, which won 8: 7 and with their 16th cup triumph came straight with the only record winners Holstein Kiel. In addition, great opponents and Cup surprises like the ones one dreamed of in 2004, when VfB only lost in the semi-finals of the DFB Cup to the final double winner Werder Bremen.

TSG Neustrelitz wins MV Cup

In Neustrelitz, hosts TSG and Greifswalder FC fought an open but uneventful duel in regular time. There, Peterson Appiah gave the visitors the lead (100 ‘), Justus Guth equalized immediately before the final whistle (119’).

This was also the case in Neustrelitz with a penalty shootout, which the hosts eventually won 6: 5. TSG goalkeeper Nicolas Delpino parried against Lukas Knechtel, after which Torben Gäbel converted to the celebrated victory. (game statistics). Neustrelitz is represented in the DFB Cup for the first time since 2013. At that time there was a respectable 0: 2 after extra time against the Bundesliga club SC Freiburg.
