Borussia Mönchengladbach are still looking for a coach. Since Adi Hütter (52) announced the end of the joint collaboration after the match against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday (14 May 2022), the position of head coach on the Lower Rhine has been vacant. However, the rumor mill is up and running. For this reason, we asked our readers who they would like to train Fohlenelf. The result is very clear.
Who will be the new Gladbach coach? Readers have clear favorites
Borussia Mönchengladbach enter the Bundesliga season 2022/23 without coach Adi Hütter. According to his own statement, the Austrian and the club from the Lower Rhine had mutually agreed to end the cooperation. This was announced by the 52-year-old on Saturday (May 14) after the 5-1 victory against TSG Hoffenheim.
However, it is not yet known who will be on the sidelines in the coming season. But since the Hütter exit was announced, several names have hovered through the media landscape.
Lucien Favre (64) is currently the favorite to succeed Hütter. In addition to the Swiss, who most recently worked as coach of Borussia Dortmund, Hannes Wolf (41 / U19 coach at DFB) and Daniel Farke (45 / last FK Krasnodar) should also be on the list of Gladbachers and belong to the closest circle of favorites.
But there are also many other coaches on the market at the moment, including ex-Bayern coach Nico Kovac (50 / last AS Monaco), who should also be interested in those responsible for the foals.

But: Who do GladbachLIVE readers want as their new head coach? To find out, our editors started a survey on May 16 with the question, “Who do you want as the new Gladbach coach?”
Our readers participated in large numbers – and came to a very clear result. Because: A proud 55 percent of all votes went to Lucien Favre. The Swiss, who coached VfL from 2011 to 2015, is not only the media favorite to succeed Hütter. The majority of GladbachLIVE readers would also like a return of the “foal wiper”.
Nico Kovac finished second in the survey by a clear margin. At least 13 percent of the population voted for him. Third place is taken by Daniel Farke with only nine percent of the vote.
The other named candidates received only a few votes in the range of four to one percent. Eight percent of those votes would also like a completely different one for the position of head coach at Gladbach.
