Individual yoga retreat with personal support

What are your wishes for your personal yoga retreat? We meet them for you.

“What are your wishes for your personal yoga retreat? We will fulfill it for you “- that is the motto under which the welcome team at Yoga Vidya in Bad Meinberg has created a new format.

The “Individual Yoga Retreat” aims to offer everyone who wants individual care on site, as much freedom as possible on the one hand and as much structure and support as necessary on the other hand. It can be booked at any time and is flexible in terms of type and duration. Holidaymakers who choose the individual yoga retreat will, upon request, be taken in the hand of the team of four people and assisted in the individual organization of this particular time. “Our team calls itself the Satkaara Juhu! Team. Satkaara means hospitality – and that’s exactly what we want to convey to our guests. Because only when you feel comfortable and welcome does the relaxation begin, ”explains Carola Beldzik and explains the background for the new retreat concept.

In group and individual discussions, guests have the opportunity to clarify organizational matters, find support for spatial orientation, and be assisted in making an appropriate selection among the overwhelming abundance of activities. “Sometimes it is also very personal experiences that want to be shared,” says Verena Deventer. “For example, a young man poured out his heart to us because of an acute love affair. During the stay, his eyes shone more and more, and eventually he was filled with the spiritual vibration of the house that carried him through the difficult days. Another visitor was particularly impressed with the morning bonfire ritual and now wants to continue it at home. In the personal consultation, it turned out that she was also very affected by a particular mantra. It will accompany her in her everyday life, she told us. “

The seminar center offers several opportunities to experience yourself intensively. Things that have never been felt before can come into view just like things that were thought to be long gone. It requires a protected frame. The welcome team is available for this as well as for all questions regarding yogic life forms, mindset and spirituality. “We know from our individual guests that the needs for personal care can vary greatly,” says Till Kuhnle. “There are experienced yogis who seek silence and during their meditation in our monastery area, Shivalaya, encounter questions of meaning that need to be stated. Such a deep exchange is also always a gift for us. ”

And then there are solo travelers who would very much like to meet like-minded people to go to mantra-chanting, to a concert or to the next yoga class together. If we do not contact our group meetings, we are happy to establish a network of meals together or on our hikes, ”explains Sharima Steffens. “Drawings or our theme weeks are always a great opportunity for newcomers who have never done yoga to connect and explore this new world with others.”

The basic structure offers two yoga classes, two satsangs and two vegetarian-vegan organic buffets. The early risers find particular inspiration in the 5 meditation in Shivalaya and the fire ritual in the Homa space. If you like it more sporty, you can take part in Nordic walking at lunchtime or in excursions to powerful places like Externsteinen and Silberbachtal in the afternoon. Spiritually interested people should not miss one of the daily recitations and pujas in the temple rooms. A special experience is the occasional concerts, evening peace songs and kirtan events that invite to sing along. Those who are overcome by a thirst for knowledge in the morning or in the evening can continue their education in the daily lectures on Indian scriptures, yoga philosophical systems, natural spirituality and related areas. If you like it more relaxed, you can of course just let yourself be driven – without any predetermined structure. Then a fantasy trip, an Abhyanga massage in the Ayurveda oasis, a sound massage or a treatment in yoga therapy will help you find even more peace. Those who want to retire are in good hands in Schweigegarten, in the guest library and in the monastery area.

The summer holiday feeling arises in the orchard, on the terrace in front of the nine dining rooms and in the 14-country forest park, Silvaticum. The healing combination of nature, yoga and meditation can be experienced here directly in a natural environment. If you also want to spend the night close to nature, you can camp or camp, otherwise there are single, double, shared rooms and dormitories available. Friends of four-legged friends should make sure to sign up for the highly coveted dog rooms well in advance. Forward planning is also recommended when signing up for yoga therapy and the Ayurveda oasis: If you want to work your way through your physical or mental problems in individual sessions or book massages, you should book appointments in advance.

Convenient for anyone who spends time for intensive reading and wants to be inspired by yoga literature: The store offers a wide selection of books, but also yoga accessories, jewelry, music, cosmetics, snacks, tea and clothes. If you want to keep in touch with your loved ones via WiFi or want to be within the confines of the internet, you will find the guest WiFi area right in front of the store. Popular meeting place: Cafe Maya, where you can chat, relax and arrange a trip to the neighboring town of Detmold. There are also swimming pools and saunas in the area.

A transfer from Horn-Bad Meinberg train station to the seminar center and childcare can be booked in advance.
