Janett Plötz from Zehdenick: Work and regular exercise make you happy

Zehdenick.“Easter is a very nice time for me,” Janett Plötz is excited about the holiday, which may be a while ago, but which, as she says, always feeds her for a long time afterwards. Because they are good for the mind and balm for the soul. “I love it when the whole family gets together for such festivities and we can all relax and spend a lot of time together.” The 25-year-old born in Templin (Uckermark) really enjoys going to his parents in Milmersdorf (Uckermark). There she always finds peace and relaxation and can nicely put off the stress and hustle of everyday life.

Janett Plötz always finds family parties, such as the recent Easter, wonderful and very relaxing.

Janett Plötz moved to Zehdenick in 2017. “Because of love,” she says. Havelstadt has meanwhile become her home. She feels comfortable there and has built many friendships over time. And of course she also likes the beautiful nature around.

After 10th grade, Janett Plötz went on a three-year apprenticeship as an educator at the upper school center in Templin and has worked in the “Marienkäfer” day care center in Marienthal since 2019. A small day care center where, according to Janett Plötz, it “is very informal”. Currently, she cares for five- and six-year-old girls and boys there, preparing them to soon become school children. “I really enjoy helping the little ones grow up,” Janett Plötz reveals. The kids are wonderfully impartial and give back so much of what you give them in terms of time, attention and affection. “No matter how bad the day is, kids always put a smile on their face,” the teacher says, adding, “I love this job.”

Janett Plötz likes to play a lot of sports. Currently, she is even training to take part in a military pentathlon in Munich.

Janett Plötz also feels happy when she can play sports. And so does the 25-year-old to a large extent. She runs twice a week, once for swimming and five times in the gym, where she also lifts heavy weights, among other things. “I train for military pentathlon,” the kindergarten teacher reveals. Because Janett Plötz posted some reports about her sports activities on Instagram, the Bundeswehr took notice one day and invited her and 19 other civilians to the military pentathlon. This will take place in Munich in September. A four-kilometer cross-country race had to be completed in 19.30 minutes. There is also a swim to cover, a spear, throwing ball or shot to be thrown and an obstacle course to be mastered. Shooting discipline is eliminated. This is only required by members of the Bundeswehr as part of the military pentathlon.

Switched to vegan diet and lost weight

“I’m training for this competition right now,” said Janett Plötz, who has been vegan since she was 16 due to a chronic bowel disease and who she reveals has lost about 20 kilos as a result. “It makes me feel a lot better now,” she says. Okay, initially she had to try out a series of recipes. And it was not so easy in the beginning to discover vegan dishes in pubs and restaurants. However, this is no longer a problem.

No problem with schnitzel and meatballs

No, says Janett, she’s not a militant vegan or a moralizer. “I have no problem making meatballs for my girlfriend or frying schnitzel.” On the contrary! You love to cook. And she also likes to dance or travel to see the world. However, that may not stop the 25-year-old athlete from staying home as often as possible. As said: Janett Plötz always loves and enjoys spending time with her family.
