The good news first: There shouldn’t be a hard lockdown in the fall and winter. The bad news: the mesh requirement and minimum distances will remain in place until at least the spring of 2022.
At the same time, a nationwide duty of proof and test must be introduced – virtually everywhere.
FIT FOR FUN says what a test and proof obligation means for your training in the gym or for club sports.
What does the obligation to provide proof of your training mean?
A burden of proof in the fitness studio or in the EMS studio means that every customer must prove their identity before the treatment. If your football, volleyball, basketball, hockey or sports club trains indoors, this test and verification requirement may also apply there.
As a starting point, you must be able to prove that you have been tested, healthy or vaccinated. Of course, this very regulation is already in place in many federal states. Including, for example, in Hamburg. But now the regulation was to apply at national level.
Many federal states had gradually abolished the obligation to test and present evidence as the incidence decreased. In Bavaria, for example, you only need a fixed agreement and must enter your contact information in advance.
The Federal Ministry of Health will now address this patchwork quilt from the fall.
No free citizen test from mid-October!
You can get an antigen fast test at the pharmacy, at the doctor’s or at the test centers.
These so-called citizen tests are free, but cost money from mid-October. It is possible that only German citizens who need to be tested free of charge cannot, for example, be vaccinated for health or age reasons.
Have you always wondered what happens to your body when you go for a walk every day? We have gathered the answer for you here:
So what documents do you need in the gym?
According to the draft law, the burden of proof and tests must apply to all enclosed spaces. The Federal Ministry of Health apparently wants to prevent an increasing spread of the Delta variant in the fall and winter.
If you are not vaccinated and are not fast
You should have a negative rapid antigen test if you have not been vaccinated or have not recovered. You will usually receive your negative test result via email. You can also save the form in the CovPass app and in the Corona-Warn app.
BUNTE.de advises you: Always keep apps updated. This way, you can use the CovPass app and the Corona alert app to their full potential.
when you are vaccinated
Everyone who has been vaccinated should probably have a vaccination certificate or the yellow vaccination card from the autumn. These documents must show a complete corona vaccination. This usually happens after the second vaccination.
If you have received the vector vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, you are “fully vaccinated” after just one vaccination and 14 days after the vaccination date. Anyone who has already tested positive for the corona virus also usually receives only one vaccination and is then considered “fully vaccinated”.
It is much easier if you store your vaccination digitally on your smartphone. This is possible via the CovPass app or the Corona-Warn app. You can find out more from our colleagues at FOCUS Online.
To do this, open the app and then scan the QR code printed on the vaccination certificate with the camera activated. If you have not received a vaccination certificate with a QR code, you can have the QR code created at the pharmacy or your family doctor.
This applies when you have recovered
If a positive corona PCR test was at least 28 days and no more than six months ago, you are “recovered”. Then use the certificate issued by the laboratory or family doctor. It must include your name, the date of the positive PCR test result, the test procedure and the laboratory contact information.
You can also have the certificate “digitized” at the pharmacy and then save it in the Corona-Warn-App or the CovPass-App. For this purpose, a QR code is created at the pharmacy, which you can then scan with your smartphone. The code is valid for up to six months after the positive test.
How is the gym managed?
However, concrete guidelines are still lacking. However, companies may need to check the evidence manually.
Employees then usually review the documents. It is also possible that guests always need a mandatory reservation. Many gyms have access cards. Vaccination and recovery certificates can also be stored in the respective profiles. You should ask in advance.
The ideas are still suggestions. The Bundestag and the Federal Council must still approve these rules. It must take place no later than after the Prime Minister’s Conference on 10 August.
Digital solutions could also be implemented. Then, for example, the staff scans the QR code with their smartphone. This allows staff to see if guests have valid certificates.
