12,000 steps a day
Part of Jessica Simpson’s weight loss strategy is adequate and regular exercise. For this, the 41-year-old trains three times a week in the gym. In addition, Simpson relies on walking as a daily workout. She started doing this shortly after the birth of her third child three years ago and gradually increased the number of steps. As her coach explained in an interview with ET, his client walks 12,000 steps a day: “We worked our way up from 4,000 to 8,000, then to 10,000 and eventually to 12,000. Some days she even walks 14,000 steps.”

Mental health is a priority for Jessica Simpson today, following a childhood trauma she recounts in her autobiography, Open Book, and years of pill and alcohol addiction. To stop worrying about her weight and stick to unrealistic numbers on the scales, she threw it out of hand. In an interview with Today in April 2021, Simpson said, “I have no idea how much I weigh. I just want to feel good and zip up my pants.”
Deliberate diet with a little sugar
