Alba Berlin is back on the road to success. For Skyliners Frankfurt, however, the BBL season is still a tragedy. The Hessians were also without victory in Bamberg.

At the end of the playoff dreams of the Euroleague, the champions consolidated their ambitions for the top of the Bundesliga. The Berliners won over media Bayreuth on Monday night (04.04.2022) with an undisputed 87:53 victory. While Berlin celebrated its ninth success in the last ten league games, the visitors admitted their seventh defeat in a row.

Three days after their decisive Euroleague defeat in Istanbul at Anadolu Efes (77:87), the hosts initially had more problems with the Franks than expected. Meanwhile, the Hamburg Towers have substantiated their playoff ambitions with their highest win of the season so far. The Hamburgers clearly beat their pursuers Hakro Merlin’s Crailsheim on Friday night with 113: 63 (58:33) and thus moved up to seventh place. The visitors are in tenth place after the fifth defeat in a row.

With 29 points, Jaylon Brown was the top scorer for Hamburg, who increased their lead over Crailsheim (24:24) by 30:24 points. Among Swabians, Elias Lasisi scored the most (13). Only the top eight teams play in the playoffs for the title.
